Current Responsibilities
As vice president, Sonja Breyfogle specializes in the Minneapolis Central Business District (CBD) commercial real estate market of the Twin Cities. She has been involved in brokerage services at NorthMarq for nearly 13 years, focusing primarily on landlord representation work and the acquisition and disposition of office properties. Sonja has had extensive experience in building repositioning and renovation with great success. In addition to creating and executing in-depth marketing strategies for core CBD properties, she has also had a wide range of experience with unique Warehouse District properties. Sonja has thrived and enjoyed the challenges of working with various types of ownership groups to help them understand the strategies involved in repositioning their assets. She has provided exceptional service to institutional and individual real estate owners alike. Sonja’s understanding of the various components of commercial real estate and prevailing market trends is an integral component to understanding the Minneapolis CBD office market.

Past Experience
Prior to joining NorthMarq, Sonja worked for SBA, Inc. She was responsible for real estate services including land leases, rooftop rights and tower site locations for Sprint Personal Communications Systems. This experience has proven to be extremely beneficial in assisting tenants and owners in working with municipalities.

Professional and Community Involvement
Sonja is a member of the Organization of Commercial Realtors (OCR) and the Minneapolis Board of Realtors and is currently pursuing her CCIM designation. Sonja is involved in Minnesota Commercial Real Estate Women (MNCREW) and NAIOP, where is active on the Community Enhancement and the University Challenge committees. Sonja is also an active volunteer for the Hope for the City organization, Women Build and Primrose School.

Education
She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in marketing and advertising.
