Current Responsibilities
Tammy Karth oversees a portfolio of approximately 10 million sq. ft. of office, industrial and retail properties. Her staff consists of 10 property managers in nine cities throughout the western region.
Past Experience
Before joining NorthMarq, Tammy was the senior director of property management for Opus Corporation for 10 years. She was responsible for overseeing all office, retail and industrial projects for the western region.
In her real estate career since 1983, she has managed portfolios for several institutional and overseas clients. Prior to joining Opus Corporation in 2000, she was a vice president with Jones Lang LaSalle, overseeing all aspects of management, leasing and operations for a 15-million-sq.-ft. portfolio in the western region. Her earlier property management experience includes the position of general manager for a 1-million-sq.-ft. high rise office building, property manager for a 2.5-million-sq.-ft. mixed-use office/retail/hotel development, and property manager for a 700,000-sq.ft. high rise office building, which was headquarters to a Fortune 500 company.
Additionally, she was the property manager for a 1-million-sq.-ft. high rise office building in downtown Phoenix. In this capacity, she managed all aspects of the project’s asbestos abatement and fire sprinkler installation totaling $55 million dollars.
Professional and Community Involvement
Tammy is a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), the National Association for Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), the Society of Property Professionals and the Phoenix Community Alliance. She is also a founding member of the Commercial Real Estate Tax Equity (CREATE). She holds a real estate salesperson license in the State of Arizona.
Education
Tammy earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska.
