Current Responsibilities
Craig oversees all property management and leasing services for NorthMarq’s east region portfolio. The east region includes all states from Illinois to the East Coast, plus Ontario, Canada. The portfolio consists of 65 office, retail and industrial properties containing 14.1 million sq. ft. located in 14 major metropolitan areas within the region. Craig is also a key member of the NorthMarq Real Estate Services leadership team with responsibilities in new business development, strategic planning, and formulating company best practices.

Past Experience
Craig has 29 years of experience in commercial real estate and construction. His primary areas of expertise are in property management and leasing, acquisitions and investment sales. He joined NorthMarq in October 2009 as part of its acquisition of Opus Property Services, which provided property management for the Opus group of companies. At Opus, Craig developed and led its property management group, which was responsible for managing properties in Opus’ North, South and East regions. In addition to his management responsibilities, Craig has negotiated 80 lease transactions within the portfolio totaling 3.3 million sq. ft. Prior to joining Opus, Craig was an executive with Miglin-Beitler, a prominent downtown Chicago commercial real estate services firm. At Miglin-Beitler he was responsible for acquisitions, investment sales and business development. Earlier he directed the firm’s leasing and management business consisting of 12 institutionally owned major high-rises containing 6.2 million sq. ft. in downtown Chicago. Craig was also a key contributor to the redevelopment of five vintage Chicago high rises. Before joining Miglin-Beitler, Craig was a property manager with LaSalle Partners (Jones Lang LaSalle) responsible for management and leasing at several downtown and suburban Chicago properties, along with a major property in Los Angeles. He worked in project management for Bechtel Corporation on two nuclear-generating station construction projects located on the East Coast prior to joining LaSalle.

Professional and Community Involvement
Craig is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), the University of Chicago – Booth School of Business Alumni Club and the Iowa State Alumni Association.

Education
Craig earned an MBA from University of Chicago – Booth School of Business and a BS in construction engineering from Iowa State University. He is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Illinois.
