Current Responsibilities
Jim Larson joined NorthMarq in 2008 as a senior vice president in the Retail Brokerage group. He brings to the company more than 25 years of experience in leasing as well as in developing and implementing merchandising plans for shopping centers. He has worked with leading national, regional and independent retail tenants and restaurants and has leased or managed the leasing of many notable retail centers in the Twin Cities and elsewhere. These projects include Calhoun Square (Minneapolis, MN), The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes (Maple Grove, MN), Valley View Mall (LaCrosse, WI), Lane Avenue Shopping Center (Columbus, OH), Bell Tower Shops (Fort Myers, FL), Ward Parkway (Kansas City, MO) and Market East (Mesquite, TX).

Past Experience
Before joining NorthMarq, Jim was a senior vice president of leasing for Capital Growth Madison Marquette, where he was engaged in the redevelopment at Calhoun Square. Prior to that, he was a senior vice president of leasing for Madison Marquette. In this role, he oversaw the leasing activities for Madison’s properties in the central region. He has also held the positions of vice president of leasing for Marquette Partners, broker for United Properties and for Jackson Scott and Associates as well as a vice president of leasing for both General Growth and for The Center Companies. He began his career as a leasing representative with Security Development Company in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

Professional and Community Involvement
He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Minnesota Shopping Center Association (MSCA), has served on the board of a local non-profi t organization and is an active member of his church.

Education
Jim holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin (Madison).
