Current Responsibilities
As senior vice president of the Healthcare Group, Michael Fleetham is responsible for providing real estate advisory and consulting services in the Twin Cities area and nationally.
Today, Michael represents healthcare organizations throughout the United States. He has experience working with doctors, administrators and hospitals to provide real estate solutions. During the last five years, Michael has negotiated more than 90 lease/purchase transactions for his clients totaling approximately $125 million in value. He understands the impact that specialized medical equipment such as CT/PET scanners, linear accelerators, Cyber Knifes and MRIs have on space design and construction costs and how they factor into real estate negotiations.
Past Experience
Michael began his career in the commercial real estate industry in 1984 as an office and industrial leasing specialist for portfolio and client representation. He subsequently led a team of brokers responsible for leasing a portfolio of 5 million square feet. He completed work with such corporate clients as GE Capital, GE Investments, Opus, Cargill, Medtronic, Travelers, Thrivent for Lutherans, Citibank, Rudolph Technologies and Arizant Healthcare.
Professional and Community Involvement
Michael has received the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation. He is past president of the Minnesota/Dakotas CCIM chapter, which has an active membership of 250 commercial real estate professionals. Michael previously served as an officer on the board of directors for the Minnesota Commercial Association of Realtors.
Education
Michael is a graduate of the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business.
