Current Responsibilities
In February of 2000, Mike was appointed to oversee the Brokerage division of NorthMarq. His responsibilities include the direction of 65 sales and leasing professionals in the office, industrial, retail, land, and investment sales groups. He serves as the ONCOR manager for the company and is the principal contact for ChainLinks Retail Advisors.

Mike started as a broker in the office division in 1991. He was consistently among the top producers and received NorthMarq's Offshore Club designation for his performance every year from 1993-1999. Mike also earned NorthMarq's President’s Award for his outstanding contributions to the company in 2000. In 2003 he was recognized by The Business Journal of the Twin Cities as one of their ”40 under forty.”

Past Experience
Before joining NorthMarq, Mike spent two and a half years with Griffin Real Estate Company in their office leasing and sales group.

Professional and Community Involvement
Mike is an active member of the Minnesota Commercial Association of Realtors (MNCAR). He is a past board member and past president of the Minnesota Commercial Property Exchange (MCPE). He holds the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) designation and served as the Mid-Continent Chapter President in 2006. He also holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.

Education
He is a graduate of Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn., where he majored in economics and speech communications and has an MBA from the Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota. Mike has served on the board of directors of Twin Cities TEC, a youth and young adult retreat program, since 2002.
